FAQ
What amounts of sooting does it create?

It builds up soot just like anything you put in a fire. Propane normally
creates more soot than Natural gas. If you have an outdoor fire pit, you
can reduce sooting by using an air mixer valve (often built into the burner
of a fire pit table). Soot is not permanent and will build up, and flake
away over time. Initially, the even coating of the soot is more of an
eye-sore, but once it has had some use, the soot will fall off at different
intervals, and it actually looks great, just like a real fire that someone
put out before the logs finished burning. All sections of the log that are
not exposed to the direct flame will not accumulate any soot. Most people
never do, but if you ever wanted to clean the soot off, spray them with a
light mist of water, while the logs are still at their hottest temperature
immediately after use and the carbon will vaporize like magic. Do not ever
wash or scrub them.

What is the outer diameter of the product?

When stacked together, like in the formation in the photos, the outer
diameter of the log formation is about 13".
