This etching was made and manufactured in Aalen, Germany exclusively for Touch of Modern. Using a steel engraving needle, the artist first scratches the image into a varnish-covered zinc or copper plate, which is then placed into an acid bath to create the desired depth. The image is then printed onto Sowa & Reiser's handmade etching paper using a hand driven printing press. Once dry, each print is individually hand painted with vibrant watercolors that make the image really pop. Every piece is hand numbered and comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity directly from Sowa & Reiser.
