Philippe Imbert

Philippe Imbert is a French artist based out of the city of Nevers — the hometown of many musical artists and painters. He experimented with videography throughout the nineties, and has developed an interest in Japanese culture upon his graduation from college in 1996. This interest first took shape as martial arts study, but eventually began working with the Sumi-e technique in 2002. Based around centering and inner peace, he puts his own western spin on this Eastern technique, creating unique and lively pieces.
