Basic Stirling Engine
Powered by an alcohol-burning lamp, this stunning Basic Stirling Engine is a classic illustration of converting heat energy into mechanical work using a thermodynamic cycle similar to the well-known Carnot cycle. The external combustion steam engine utilizes two pistons— a small power piston and a larger displacement piston that also stores heat energy— to create a beautiful visual display of thermodynamics in action. Meticulously tested for proper operation and efficiency, it's a fun and fascinating toy for hobbyists, as well as a serious demonstration model for work or classrooms.

Yes, it does come with the glass alcohol bottle. Can you hear it work and does it sound like the old "hit and miss" style engines?
It does have some sound. You do hear each piston stroke but it does not
have that snap of a hit miss engine. Also, it's much quieter.
