Product Description
Being offered today is a Very Very Rare “REEEMABLE IN GOLD” HIGH GRADE consecutive pair of 1928 B $10.00 Federal Reserve series note graded by PMG in 66 Gem Uncirculated with EXCEPTIONAL PAPER QUALITY (EPQ).
PMG stands for “Paper Money Guaranty”. PMG is the WORLD’s largest and most trusted grading service!
These notes are from the “Kansas City” series which is designated by the “J” on the left side of the note. The “J” series is from the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank (see pics). This pair has low serial numbers of J 0716082 A and J 0716083 A
A consecutive pair of from this series is VERY HARD to find in this condition. There are only 5 other notes graded higher.
THE NOTES ALSO HAVE THE REDEEMABLE IN GOLD STATEMENT ON THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF THE NOTES:
The upper left of the notes states:
“REDEEMABLE IN GOLD ON DEMAND AT THE US TREASURY OR IN GOLD OR LAWFUL MONEY AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE BANK”. So, at the time you could cash the note in for $ 10 in gold. Just imagine what that would be worth today if you received a mega rare $ 10 gold piece back then.
The color just pops off the note. The margins are centered very well, and the ink is well embossed. The colors are bright and bold. The well-preserved paper adds to its visual eye appeal.
The notes will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated note and protects against tampering. The note pictured is the exact note you will receive.
This note is encased and sealed by PMG. Every PMG certified note is backed by the industry leading PMG guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
