1962 P Franklin Half Dollar NGC MS 67 PROOF # 006

We are presenting a PROOF 1962 P (Philadelphia) Franklin Half Dollar graded by NGC in Mint (MS) 67.

Proof coins are coins that the US Mint makes differently than standard circulating coins used for change.  Proof coins are manufactured by striking the coin numerous times under increased pressure to make the field have a mirrored finish.  

Proof coins are specifically made for collectors since they have better eye appeal than standard circulating coins. The surface of the coin’s devices and the mirrored finish of the coin’s field are very pronounced.
