Holy Land Judaean Iron Age Oil Lamp, c. 1200 - 586 BC. Old Testament period, from the time of the Judaean Monarchy between Moses and the Assyrian conquests. An extremely large wheel-made buff clay oil lamp with classic 'pinched' nozzle and flattened ring base. Spout is still blackened from use in antiquity! Measures 6 5/8"W x 6 1/2"L.
